The deck that told investors what an AI platform does
Purple Fabric is IntellectAI's AI platform. IntellectAI is one business inside Intellect Design Arena, a listed company. Investors asked what the platform does. I planned the ninety-minute answer, slide by slide, and the Chairman and the CTO presented it.

What happened
- The share price rose 26% in the week after the investor event.I planned the deck and the demo that the Chairman and the CTO presented to investors on 19 December 2024. The business press linked the rise to Purple Fabric.
- Eighteen months later, Purple Fabric became its own business, with 45+ clients live.In June 2026 Intellect Design Arena made Purple Fabric a separate business line and made the CTO its CEO.
The problem
A platform built from eight technologies and hundreds of AI agents needs one story that the Chairman can tell investors in ninety minutes.
The people who built Purple Fabric could describe every layer of it. Ask them what it was for, and the answer took an hour. On the second-quarter earnings call, investors asked that question in public. The Chairman promised them a separate session.
Every new kind of product has this problem. There is no existing category to compare it with, so every explanation has to start from zero. I wrote an explanation that starts from something the reader already knows.
This was requested during the investor presentation where all of you asked us to present what the Purple Fabric means. We know it's a multi-agent AI platform, but what does it do?
The method
Start with a cost the reader already pays. Give the new thing a name the reader already knows. Then show one real example from start to finish.
The deck has sixteen slides, and the order is the method. The first three slides talk about the reader's money and give the new thing a name, and never mention the product. The platform itself appears on slide five. Then one example, complaints handling, runs for eight slides, from the numbers before to a live demo to the number after. Everything else the platform can do shares two slides at the end, under the heading "claims is just one example". The three slides below are the three moves.
I planned the deck and the demo. Deepak Dastrala, the CTO, ran the demo on the call. Every version since, for analysts, clients and partners, has kept the same order.

Slide 2: their money first
Banks spend 11 to 17% of their costs on IT, and 40 to 46% on the middle and back office, the staff who process the work. The second number is the market for Purple Fabric. No new words yet. Slide 3, beside the title above, then names the new thing: an AI agent is like a gig worker.

Slide 5: a brain with two halves
The first time the platform appears. The language models are the half that thinks. The pipeline that brings data in and sends actions out is the half that does. Eight technologies became one picture.

Slides 6 to 13: one example, start to finish
Complaints handling at a UK wealth manager. Before: 10,000 open cases, 50 days to close each one, fewer than a third closed inside the regulator's deadline. Then a live demo. After: 20 minutes per case.
Investors
On 19 December 2024 the Chairman and the CTO told investors the story. Within a week the share price had risen 26%.
The share price opened at ₹830.00 on 18 December, the day before the event, and closed at ₹1,051.90 on 26 December. That is all I claim about the price. Share prices move for many reasons, and the company told the stock exchanges that it had nothing new to disclose.
The business press went further. Business Today and Angel One both wrote that the rise followed the launch of Purple Fabric. The only new thing the market had heard about Purple Fabric that month was this presentation.

The business
Eighteen months later, the platform that investors asked about became a business of its own.
On 8 June 2026 Intellect Design Arena made Purple Fabric a separate business line and named Deepak Dastrala, the CTO who presented the deck, its CEO. Forty-five clients were live on the platform.
Hundreds of people built that business. I do not claim it. I claim the structure underneath it: the story that every external conversation runs on, the architecture document that MongoDB published, and the Academy that teaches partners and clients to build on the platform. Once the platform had a story that could be told in ninety minutes, it could be sold, it could be taught, and in the end it could run on its own.
